Il Campionato Italiano Motocross Junior è iniziato anche per i ragazzi della Zona Nord. Dopo il primo round del Centro Sud andato in scena a Montevarchi (AR) il 13 marzo, ieri sono stati i tanti giovani del Nord Italia a sfidarsi tra loro.

Il TM FMI Racing Team è sceso in pista nella 125 cc con Paolo Lugana che, dopo aver vinto proprio il 13 marzo la prima tappa del Campionato Regionale Lombardia a Malpensa (VA), ha ben figurato anche a livello nazionale. In gara 1 Paolo è scattato bene ma alla seconda curva è caduto a causa di una carambola di gruppo che ha coinvolto anche altri piloti. Passato 27° al termine del primo giro, ha tenuto un gran ritmo e recuperato ben 20 posizioni chiudendo la manche – vinta dall’olandese Roan Van De Moosdijk, protagonista di una doppietta – in 7° piazza. Ben diversa la seconda heat: il pilota di Asola (MN) è rimasto in terza posizione e a metà gara ha duellato prima con Mattia Guadagnini, poi con Yuri Quarti salvo commettere un errore a pochi giri dalla conclusione che lo ha costretto a chiudere terzo dietro a quest’ultimo. Nella classifica di campionato, Lugana è ora terzo con 270 punti dietro ai 500 di Van De Moosdijk e ai 420 di Yuri Quarti.

A fine giornata, il Commissario Tecnico FMI Thomas Traversini, ha dichiarato: “Ho visto tanti giovani veloci, il livello delle gare è alto in tutte le categorie del tricolore. Nella 125 cc Van De Moosdijk è stato bravo a vincere entrambe le gare, ma stare costantemente davanti non sarà facile né per lui né per gli altri. Lugana, dal canto suo, dopo aver fatto registrare i tempi migliori nella giornata di sabato, ieri è stato allo stesso tempo sfortunato (nella prima manche) e molto bravo. Ha tenuto sempre un bel ritmo e nonostante qualche sbavatura, ha ottenuto buoni piazzamenti”.

Prossimo appuntamento con l’Italiano MX Junior Zona Nord, il 24 aprile a Cremona. Sette giorni prima invece andrà in scena il secondo round della Zona Centro Sud a San Severino Marche (MC).

At the end of the day, the Technical Commissioner FMI Thomas Traversini, said: “I have seen many young people faster, the level of competition is high in all categories of the tricolor. In the 125 cc Van De Moosdijk did well to win both races, but be constantly ahead will not be easy for him or for others. Lugana, for its part, after having recorded the best time on Saturday, yesterday was unlucky at the same time (in the first round) and very good. He always kept a nice pace and despite some trimming, has achieved good placings. ”

Next round of the Italian MX Junior Zone North, April 24 in Cremona. Seven days before instead it will stage the second round of the South Central Zone in San Severino Marche (MC).
