Mondiale Motocross GP della Lettonia

Siamo giunti all’undicesimo Gp stagionale che si è corso sulla pista sabbiosa di Kegums in Lettonia ed il team Ricci Racing si presenta a questa gara per confermare i miglioramenti delle precedenti gare.
Ivo Monticelli nelle prove cronometrate del sabato ottiene subito dei tempi molto buoni ottenendo un ottimo 12° tempo, nella manche di qualifica dopo un buon avvio Monticelli è stato costretto al ritiro per problemi tecnici.
Ivo ha così dovuto schierarsi in ultima posizione nelle due manche domenicali, nella prima frazione Monticelli non è riuscito a partire bene ma con un ritmo regolare è riuscito a recuperare diverse posizioni e ha chiuso in 15° piazza. Nella seconda manche Ivo è partito molto bene riuscendo ad inserirsi nella top ten, peccato che nel corso del secondo giro ha fatto spegnere la sua TM 250, Monticelli è ripartito ultimo e con una rimonta incredibile ha ottenuto uno strabiliante 15° posto. Tanel Leok, che sta ritornando in forma dopo l’infortunio, continua l’apprendistato con la TM 450, nella manche di qualifica Leok ha guidato molto bene senza commettere errori ed ha chiuso in 13° posto.
Ottima la prima manche di Tanel che ha corso sempre nel gruppo dei più forti facendo segnare buoni tempi sul giro dimostrando il suo miglioramento, chiudendo la prima frazione 14°.
La seconda manche ha visto partire subito molto forte, il pilota estone per buona parte della manche è riuscito a stare con il gruppo dei migliori, peccato che la sua condizione fisica non sia ancora al top ed ha dovuto alzare il ritmo ed ha chiuso il suo Gp in 17° posizione.
Buona la prova dei ragazzi nella 125 che hanno concluso 14° Ravera e 20° Zonta
Solo qualche giorno di riposo per il team Ricci Racing che si sposta direttamente in Finlandia per il prossimo Gp in programma settimana prossima.

“Sono soddisfatto di quello che ha fatto Ivo Monticelli, è riuscito a fare punti in tutte e due le manche, peccato solo per la seconda che era partito molto bene e poteva fare un ottimo risultato, Tanel Leok non ha ancora il ritmo e la forma fisica perfetta, penso che da qui a domenica prossima possa fare meglio, sperando di riuscire a stare nei primi dieci e questo per noi sarebbe un bellissimo risultato.”

“Sono soddisfatto per la mia prestazione, la prima manche non sono partito bene ed ho dovuto recuperare, nella seconda ho fatto una grande partenza inserendomi nei primi dieci, purtroppo mi si è spenta la moto in una curva e sono stato centrato da alcuni piloti, ho però tenuto un ritmo di gara buono e sono finito ancora a punti, ora mi allenerò questa settimana per essere ancora più pronto per la Finlandia..”

“Ero veramente stanco alla fine della seconda manche, sono stato fermo molto e questo si fa sentire, le due gare Svezia e qui in Lettonia sono state un buonissimo allenamento, spero di fare bene in Finlandia per poter arrivare al meglio della condizione per la gara della Germania, qui in Lettonia anche se la pista mi piaceva molto non sono riuscito a fare il risultato che volevo, ma per le prossime gare spingerò al massimo per migliorarmi. .”
On Saturday, in the Pre-qualifying practices, Ivo Monticelli obtained very good chronos finishing 12th. In the Qualifying Race, Ivo had a good start, but he was forced to abandon because of technical problems. On Sunday, in the first mx2 race, Monticelli hadn’t a good start but thanks to a consistent pace, he succeeded in recovering many positions, finishing 15th. In the second race, Ivo had a great start and he entered the top ten, but in the second lap he let his TM turn off and with an astonishing recover he obtained a great 15th place.
Tanel Leok has been working hard to get back to his top form after his injury and he continues his apprenticeship on his TM. In the Qualifying Race, Leok rode really well without making mistakes and he finished 13th. On Sunday, in the first mx1 manche, Tanel had good laptimes showing his improvement and he finished 14th. In the second manche, he had a good start and the Estonian rider was able to ride with the top riders, but unfortunately his physical condition still affected his performance and he finished 17th.
Good performance of the boys in the 125 who completed Ravera 14 ° and 20 ° Zonta.
The next round is taking place in Finland the next weekend.

Unfortunately, my bike switched off in a curve and some riders hit me, but I kept a good pace and I recovered some positions, obtaining some points. Now I will train hard this week to improve my results in the GP of Finland.”

“I was really tired at the end of the second race. I spent a long time recovering from my injury and the GP of Sweden and the GP of Latvia had been a great training. I hope to improve my performance in Finland in order to get back to my top form in time for the GP of Germany. I really like the track in Kegums but I didn’t realize the result I wished… next races I will push hard to improve.”
