“Sunday started of to be a good day with an okay qualification and a brilliant start in race 1 to sit in 3rd for 3/4’s of the race. I then made a small mistake to drop back to 5th but managed to close the gap back on the leaders. I finally felt I was in my groove proving the pace I can run with plenty more in the tank. Unfortunately luck was not on my side and while scrubbing a jump and hitting the engine stop button cause the fuel injection to cut out mid-air and threw me over the handle bars. After being in swindon hospital i was diagnosed with a left wrist perilunate dislocation which was put back in sunday by the doctor at Swindon hospital. I was told to do an immediate follow up Monday morning in Belfast! When i got of the boat at 6am i went straight to Belfast royal to be followed up and found that not only had i had a perilunate dislocation but i had also fractured the triquetrum and shattered parts of the bone! When the surgeons opened me up they had to screw the fractured and shattered area but also needed to do scaphoid lunate ligament repair and scaphoid stabilisation as well as some cartilage repair on the joint. so as far as i know now iv got 8 weeks rest till i got back under the knife to get the wires out and the probably a few more weeks after that to get back to strength with physiotherapy etc.
An unfortunate weekend for me but I have come away with a lot of positives and I’m sure i can come back with my head in a good place and get back exactly from were i left off with my results! So i’ll be working as hard as i can to get back to fitness hopefully be ready as soon as possible! Id just like to thank everyone for the get well wishes and all the support it has been rely nice to read them on facebook and txt msg’s also a big thanks to my sponsors for doing everything to help me this year they have all been brilliant!”

“We all knew Stuart could have a good weekend at Foxhills, he has had good results with us there in the past so we were confident on having a good weekend. We started late this season but were getting to where we needed to be with the bike and Stuart. Stuart had a great start in race one and was running in third for most of the race comfortably. It was a great boost for all involved but unfortunately a crash has left him injured and out of action for the next few months. We would love to have seen him race at our home event in Desert Martin next weekend as we know he would have had a good result. All we can do know is focus on getting him healed up and back in action. We wish him a speedy recovery.”
