La pioggia caduta nei giorni precedenti il GP ha fatto pensare al peggio poi piano piano la situazione è migliorata e la domenica il tracciato si è presentato perfetto ma soltanto per gara uno. Infatti al via delle seconde manche ha iniziato a piovere peggiorando di molto al momento dello start della MX1.

Iniziamo purtroppo con una cattiva notizia. Christopher Valente non ha potuto disputare le due gare della Mx2 per la rottura del malleolo della caviglia sinistra avvenuta durante il warm-up della mattina. Al momento non si hanno notizie sul suo rientro.

Sfortuna anche nella MX1 dove in gara uno Guarneri e Leok non partono benissimo ed alla fine Davide chiude 15esimo dopo essere caduto in un contatto con Waters, mentre era in 11esima piazza mentre Tanel Leok è 18esimo.
Nella seconda gara, sotto ad una pioggia insistente, la musica non cambia. Entrambi i piloti del Team Ricci Racing partono a metà gruppo e dei due soltanto Tanel Leok riesce a recuperare alcune posizioni terminando 13esimo. Davide invece non riesce a rimontare e termina al 19esimo posto.

Ilario Ricci

“Ancora una volta non siamo contenti dei risultati ottenuti anche se la sfortuna continua a farci compagnia. In MX2 Valente si èinfortunato nelle prove della mattina e non ha partecipato alla gara. I nostri due piloti della MX1 invece, non sono riusciti a scattare bene nelle due partenze e su questa pista, dove rimontare èdifficoltoso, diventa poi complicato ottenere buone posizioni.”

Davide Guarneri

“Giàdal sabato le cose non sono andate come volevo. Ho fatto 11esimo nelle qualifiche su una pista molto difficile per la pioggia caduta nei giorni precedenti. Poi nelle due gare non sono uscito bene dal cancelletto di partenza e ho fatto molta fatica a rimontare nonostante avessi un buon “passo gara”.

Tanel Leok

“Anche per me vale lo stesso discorso di Davide. Qualifiche finite al 17esimo posto e gara uno non benissimo. Meglio invece in gara due dove con la pista scivolosa dalla pioggia, ho cercato di stare calmo e attento e senza strafare ho rimontato alcune posizioni chiudendo 13esimo”.

In Sevlievo the weather was rainy for the days before the GP but on Sunday morning the track was perfect until the end of the first races; then it started raining again and pouring during the MX1.

Ricci Racing Team was ready to face another busy weekend. Unfortunately, Christopher Valente could not race in both races because he broke his left malleolus during the warm up. Up to now we have not any news about his return and recovery.

In the MX1 class, Davide Guarneru and Tanel Leok had not a good start in the first manche. Guarneri finished 15th after a crash due to a contact with Waters while he was 11th; while Leok finished 18th. In the second manche, under a pouring rain, both riders started in the middle of the group and only Tanel Leok was able to catch up positions finishing 13th; Instead, Davide Guarneri could not recover and finished 19th.

Ilario Ricci: “We are not satisfied with the results this weekend. In MX2 Valente injured himself during the warm up and did not take part in the manches. In MX1 our riders couldn’t start well and on this track catching up positions is really hard, so they couldn’t obtain good places.”

Davide Guarneri: ”Since Saturday I didn’t get the results I expected. I finished 11th in the Qualifying Race. The track is really difficult and the weather conditions worsened the overall situation. In both Sunday’s races I couldn’t start well and I really struggled to recover even though I had a good pace.”

Tanel Leok: “I finished 17th in the Qualifying race and I’m not happy with the first manche on Sunday. I did better in the second one where the track was slippery because of the rain; I tried to stay focused and relaxed and I recovered some places finishing 13th.”
