Elia Sammartin wins in Viterbo.

We have reached the penultimate race of the season of the Internazionali d’Italia which took place in Viterbo before the double final round in Pomposa in early September, a day characterized by the bad weather, during the day the rain made the track slippery and treacherous.

S1 class

Great performance in qualifying for the two top riders of the L30 Racing Team, Marc Schmidt conquers the pole position followed by his teammate Elia Sammartin in second place.
When the traffic lights go out, Elia Sammartin takes the reins of the race with Schmidt behind him, the two put on a show for most of the race. During the last few laps Marc was the author of a crash where he damaged the bike and ended up in the rear. Elia Sammartin won Game 1 with a margin over his opponents.
The second heat for S1 saw Schmidt’s victory with Sammartin who managed the victory of race 1, finishing second and taking home the victory of the day.
Marc and Elia are increasingly leaders in the International and Italian rankings.

Class S4.

Kevin Vandi current leader of the standings in timed practice manages to find the right feeling by going to conquer the pole position, Alex Ruiz thanks to an excellent time ends with the fourth time, unfortunately Galloni did not take to the track due to a small thumb injury remedied on Saturday during free practice, Papalini still absent after the injury in Busca.
In race 1 Kevin fails to get a good starting point losing some positions, Vandi was unable to find the right pace in the race going to close in fourth position, his partner Ruiz finishes behind him in fifth place.
In the second heat Vandi, after starting second, was the author of a crash that made him lose some positions but thanks to a great comeback he finished in third place. Alex Ruiz also thanks to a fall he closes fourth.
Kevin Vandi ends his day in fourth place and maintains the championship lead, Ruiz sixth.

Junior class

Good performance in the Junior class where Luca Maria Casagrande Contardi with two good races reached the podium of the day with the third place.

Ivan Lazzarini: ”An eventful weekend also due to the rain that made the Viterbo track even more difficult. In S1 I am very happy with Elia’s first win of the season who was very good, too bad for Marc’s crash. In S4 the day started very well with Kevin’s pole position but we weren’t able to materialize in the race, however Vandi is still leading the championship with a good margin. Now we have a few days off before the last race of the Internazionali where we hope to recover our injured drivers as well. “
