27 April 2023

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES, PODIUMS AND VICTORIES IN SAN MARTINO SULLA MARRUCINA FOR PHILIPPAERTS, PAVONI, CAVALLO

This weekend, the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro stopped in San Martino sulla Marrucina, a few kilometers from the Majella National Park in the province of Chieti, for the fifth day of competition held in a single race on Sunday 23 April alone.

A race masterfully organized by the Motoclub DG which, in collaboration with Track Inspector Mario Rinaldi, designed a 49 km route in the shape of an eight made up of four special stages to be repeated four times to which was added the test held on Saturday afternoon for a total of 17 PS.

Excellent victory in the 250 2-stroke class for Deny Philippaerts who showed a lot of grit and tenacity throughout the race and managed to get the win in the last race of the day. In the provisional standings Deny currently occupies the second position just 5 points behind the leader.

In the 250 4T class Matteo Pavoni ran an excellent race finishing in second position. The driver from Brescia also recorded excellent times in the Overall classification where, at the end of a long and difficult day of competition, he finished with a well-deserved seventh place.

Third place for Matteo Cavallo in the 300 2T class. the day of the race ended with a huge regret for the crash on the third lap of the Extreme Test in which our Piedmontese driver lost several seconds, compromising the outcome of the race.

Matteo Cavallo currently occupies the second position in the championship just one point behind the leader.

Daniel Milner closed in San Martino sulla Marrucina with a score of fifth place in the hard-fought and difficult Foreigners class and tenth place in the Assoluta. Also for him some good absolute times in some special stages but some crashes compromised the final result.

The 2023 Enduro Assoluti d’Italia are now taking a break of over a month to return to Città della Pieve (PG) on 18/06 for the sixth round of the 2023 season.

Jarno: “In this race all three riders finally showed that they can stay up front, you just need to put all the pieces together to bring home a good final result!!!…”
