The Sardinian GP was characterized by uncertain weather, on the first day of Saturday the rain was the protagonist in the tests where all the riders had to mount rain tyres. Elia Sammartin struggled to find the right feeling with the Tramatza track but still finished sixth. Erik Provaznik 14th and Mitja Krasniqi 17th.
In the first race which takes place on Saturday, the rain gave a break and the unknown was the type of tire to mount. The last race of the GP, the longest and which awards the most points, once again saw Marc among the best, the German took the lead on the second lap but his leadership lasted a few minutes. Schmidt was overtaken by one of his opponents in the middle of the race, the strong driver of Ivan Lazzarini tried in every way to get back in the lead but didn’t sink the overtaking so as not to run into a crash that would have nullified the result of the race. Marc Schmidt takes second place overall recovering points in the standings and is now only 4 points from the lead. Elia Sammartin another good placement with sixth place. Erik Provaznik 15th and Mitja Krasniqi 14th.

Ivan Lazzarini: “I’m happy with what Marc did this weekend, a pity about the wrong choice in the first heat but these are the races, however he recovered several points in the standings and this gives us morale for the rest of the season. I’m satisfied with Elia’s race as he improved every time he entered the track and is working his best to be more and more competitive. In S4 Alex and Kevin were very good proving to be the fastest.
