CAVALLO E MACORITTO WINS THEIR RESPECTIVE CLASS

On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September the seventh and eighth round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro took place and for the occasion Pistoia hosted the Circus dell’enduro for the penultimate act of the 2024 season.

The Motoclub Valdibure, assisted by Track Inspector Mario Rinaldi, designed a race route divided into three highly technical and treacherous special tests to be repeated four times on Saturday and three times on Sunday for a total of twenty-one special tests during the race weekend.

The route of the Tuscan stage with a total length of 45 km included in order: a 2 km Cross Test followed by a 2.5 km Extreme Test followed by a 6 km technical and fast Enduro test at the end of the lap.

On Saturday Matteo Cavallo had an incredible race, taking third place in the Assoluta class and winning the 300 class after a day of racing as a true star. Day 2 was a bit more uphill due to a fall in the second extreme test where he lost about thirty seconds. At the end of the day, he finished eighth overall and won his class.

A show of strength and determination for Lorenzo Macoritto who, returning to competition after a long period of inactivity and an unlucky year, finished in tenth position in the Absolute class on Saturday and scored a great victory in the 250 2T class. The rider from Friuli then improved his performance on Sunday, finishing in ninth position in the Absolute and winning the 250 2T class again.

The 2024 Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro are now taking a break and will return on 26 and 27 October in Sanremo with the final stage valid as the ninth and tenth stage.
