S1GP Valencian Community

The 2025 season of the S1GP World Championship opens on the Albaida track in Spain, now a regular event for the opening of the world championship, the first official outing for the TSV RACING FACTORY TEAM TM MOTO which fields a team of young riders, Steve Bonnal, Romain Kaivers and Tom Bessieres who in the free practice on Friday suffered a bad bruise to his hand after a disastrous fall.

The riders of Team Manager Vladimiro Leone were immediately ready and from the first free practice they managed to find the right feeling with the track.

Qualifying, with the new format that includes Q1-Q2 and Super Pole with only three riders fighting for the first spot, saw TM Moto riders among the protagonists, with Romain Kaivers who in Q1 set an excellent fourth time, Steve Bonnal did not find a clean lap and had to settle for seventh time, unfortunately Bessieres not in his best condition did not pass the cut closing in 14th place.

In Q2 Steve Bonnal managed to make the difference and thanks to an excellent speed on the dirt section he finished in fourth place just 3 tenths from third place, Kaivers finished eighth.

At the start of race 1 Bonnal managed to get into third position but during the first lap a small mistake made him lose two positions, Steve kept an excellent race pace setting record times on the off-road section but struggling to find the right rhythm on the asphalt section going on to finish in fourth position. Romain Kaivers with a solid performance finishes in seventh place, Bessieres after a difficult start recovers going to occupy 13th place under the checkered flag.

During the warm up on Sunday morning Romain Kaivers fell and broke his thumb and was unable to go out on the track for the two heats.

In the Fast Race bad start for Steve Bonnal and at the first corner he was unable to find the right gap to recover positions, the young Frenchman unfortunately did not find a good pace and had to settle for seventh place, Tom Bessieres with a regular race where he did not make any mistakes finished in twelfth place.

In the super final Steve was able to show off a good start and join the group of the best, Bonnal was fighting for fourth place but in completing the Joker Lane he made a mistake that cost him a position going to close his race in sixth place. Bessieres was the victim of a fall in the first part of the race that excluded him from the fight for a good position going to end up in the back.

Steve Bonnal finishes in sixth place overall, the next race of the World Championship will be the Sardinia GP on the weekend of May 10-11.

Vladimiro Leone: “For us it was the first race and we showed up to gain experience also having a lineup of very young riders, Tom suffered a small injury in the Friday tests that limited him for the whole weekend, Romain broke a finger in the warm-up and it’s a real shame because he was going very fast, Steve just needs to gain more conviction because he has the means to stay with the leaders, we return home knowing where to work in view of the next races, I would like to thank TM Moto and all the guys on the team for the great work done in this first world race.”

TEAM 11 SUPPORTED BY TM MOTO IN 2025

TM moto is pleased to announce its partnership with Team 11, which will be our sponsored team for the 2025 S1GP World Championship.

The Italian team presents itself with an impressive line-up for this year. Starting with four-time S1GP 2024 World Champion Marc Schmidt, the strong German rider will have the task of defending the title he won last year.
The other rider in the premier class will be Czech rider Jan Ulman, who finished in the top ten in the championship in 2024. Obviously, the focus will be on improving again in order to move up in the standings compared to last year.

The line-up is completed by the re-confirmed Leonardo Lapadula, who finished just outside the top ten in the SM Junior Championship in 2024 despite missing a few rounds, moving up to S2 on the TM 250.

The first round of the 2025 World Championship will take place in Spain at the end of March.

We wish them all the best in their work and hope that our collaboration will bring many satisfactions at a sporting level.
