BAD CRASH FOR WIL IN DAY1 AND HE SUFFERED BOTH DAYS

PAVONI ON THE PODIUM IN DAY ONE

CAVALLO MISS THE PODIUM FOR FEW SECONDS

Souselas, a town in the province of Coimbra, hosted the GP of Portugal 2 on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July, the fourth stage of the EnduroGP World Championship.

For the occasion, the Motoclub Alahstro Clube TT designed a challenging and varied race course in which our riders had to face three special stages, all of a high level, in which experience and control played a fundamental role in the success of the race.

An unlucky weekend for Wil Ruprecht that in the Portuguese GP right from the start, in the Super Test, were the goddess of luck turned her back on the Australian rider. After the crash on Friday evening, also on Saturday morning Wil Ruprecht fell badly to the ground during the first special stage without however reporting serious consequences. In  the E2 he close with a fourth and a sixth place, but the leader’s table is always in the hands of Wil. In EGP he closes with a thirteenth and fourteenth place that make him lose the leader board.

Matteo Cavallo in the E1 class close with a fifth and a fourth place at the Coimbra GP and on Saturday entered the Top Ten of the Enduro GP. The rider recorded excellent overall times in all three special stages and on both days he missed the podium for a few seconds.

Great performance for the reigning champion of the Junior class Matteo Pavoni who in Day One conquered a third place just three tenths from the winner. In Day 2, despite a day on the attack and with few mistakes, he was unable to repeat himself closing with a fourth place.

Once the Portuguese stage has been archived, the World Enduro Circus stops for the next three weeks and then gets back on the bike for Gelnica in Slovakia to compete on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July, the fifth GP of this season.
