The L3 Racing team has also decided to bring the 250 to the track, which was entrusted to Matteo Andreotti, the young rider of Ivan Lazzarini in qualifying obtained the fifth fastest time overall.
Excellent start for Matteo in race 1 who manages to overtake some opponents at the start, moving up to fourth position up to the checkered flag thanks also to an excellent pace.
In the second heat Andreotti slips at the exit of the dirt road which sees him lose several positions and finish his race in eighth place.
Next appointment at the end of the month with the first World Championship race which will take place in Italy on the Busca circuit.
Ivan Lazzarini: “As the first race of the season I can say I’m satisfied with what we demonstrated on the track, of course we’re still at the beginning and we need to develop the new bike in the best possible way. Elia restarted where he finished last year with a great brace. The S4 guys also did well with Ruiz fighting for the victory in both heats. Kevin has yet to find the right feeling with the new bike. We also made our debut in the new category with Andreotti who performed well. We certainly have to work further to improve ourselves in view of the next important races.”
