Italian Supermoto Championship Round 4 Ortona.
Elia Sammartin increasingly leader of SM1.
The fourth round of the Italian Championship took place on the beautiful Ortona track, the heat was the protagonist on this day, putting the riders in the race to a hard test. The L30 Racing team took to the track with the bikes listed in mourning for the untimely death of team member Alessandro Magarotto.

Elia Sammartin on the Abruzzo track is at ease right from the first practice, setting excellent times. In qualifying Elia scores pole position, Andrea Acetti concludes with a good 11th time.
At the start of race 1 Elia is perfect and immediately takes the lead of the race, the strong driver from Veneto did not struggle to keep his opponents at bay in the first laps to finish the heat undisturbed, Andrea Acetti due to an error concluded in the rear. In the second and last heat for the SM1 Elia Sammartin had to struggle in the first part of the race, Elia didn’t immediately find the right feeling with the track and in the first few bars he had to watch his opponents’ backs. Sammartin managed to change pace in the middle of the race and took a big margin which gave him the possibility to cross the finish line in peace. Andrea Acetti is 13th. Thanks to this fourth one-two Elia Sammartin is increasingly leader of the SM1 standings.SM4
In SM4 the L30 Racing TM Factory team riders struggled to find the right feeling with the Ortona track and were unable to express themselves as they would have liked.
Timed qualifying saw Kevin Vandi the best who obtained the fourth time, Emanuele Esposito seventh and Giovanni Galloni 12th. At the start of the first heat Kevin loses a position, Vandi unfortunately was unable to recover the position immediately but it took several laps, when he finally returned to fourth position the top three in the standings were long gone, finishing in that position. Emanuele Esposito has made some mistakes that have slipped him into the standings. Giovanni Galloni was forced to retire due to a crash. Good start in race 2 for Vandi who moved into third position, Kevin tried to keep the pace but unfortunately the lack of feeling with the track did not give him the opportunity to keep up with his opponents’ race pace and he had to settle of fourth place. Matteo Andreotti competing in the SM Young with the 250 continues his growth path in the supermoto, in qualifying he sets the second fastest time overall.
Matteo put in two excellent races without making mistakes but managing to be constant and with two second places he is once again on the podium of the day, reinforcing his second position in the championship standings.Ivan Lazzarini:”A not easy weekend for our team due to the untimely death of our mechanic Alessandro, the whole TM Moto family wants to send their condolences to the family. As far as the race is concerned, we are very satisfied with Elia’s victory, who was very good. In SM4 all our boys, even if they had some difficulties, didn’t give up and brought home excellent results. Andreotti another excellent performance.”
