Valkenswaard’s prestigious track runs the first Gp of the season on the sand.

For Team Tm Factory a difficult week-end, Samuele Bernardini on Saturday did not find the right feeling on the difficult Dutch track by closing the qualifying round in the back.

In race 1 Samuele is able to start very well immediately in the group of pilots who counts in sixth position, a small slip makes him lose a couple of positions but the rhythm of the Tuscan driver is very good and has all the chances to recover. Unfortunately after a few laps Bernardini is a victim of a very bad fall, where he returns a right-toe strike and is forced to retire.

Samuel had to resort to physiotherapist care and take anti-pains.

Between the first and the second run the team decides to twist the motion of the bike to try to improve its performance.

Samuele starts another good time but a mistake makes him lose several positions, Bernardini has been the author of great times in the lap but because of the pain he had to raise the pace finishing in 16th position but succeeding to gain some points.

Now there are fifteen days to get back into shape and try to get back to the performance standards of the first championship races.

In the 125th European championship, Paolo Lugana is a great race for every race and after the excellent results in the Italian Championship at Valkenswaard he gets the eighth place in the day’s standings. Mattia Guadagnini qualifies for races for the last chance and in the final standings he is 25th.

Marco Ricciardi commented the race: “Race not too lucky, we did not have a good feeling with the track already from Saturday, race 1 after a good start fell off getting a bad start to the foot. After the healing and painkillers went down the track for the second round, he kept it hard by bringing home a few points. It’s not what we expected, we are very happy for the work done between the two guys finding a great setting. Other lost points are now on the way, but we will try to give as much as ever. “
