The TSV Racing Factory TM Corse Team was among the key players in the Piedmont Grand Prix, the fifth round of the Supermoto World Championship, held at the Busca International Circuit. Team riders Steve Bonnal, Romain Kaivers, and Tom Bessiers endured an intense weekend of racing, bringing home excellent results.
Steve Bonnal delivered an exceptional performance throughout the weekend. After securing a brilliant second place in the Super Pole, Bonnal demonstrated his speed and consistency in all the heats. He took second place in both Race 1 and the Fast Race. In the Super Final, after a difficult start, he encountered a small technical issue that slowed him down for a few meters, but fortunately he was able to restart and, with a remarkable comeback, finished in fourth place.
Thanks to these results, Steve Bonnal finished third overall in the Piedmont GP, consolidating his position among the top drivers in the category.
His teammates also demonstrated their worth. Romain Kaivers, after qualifying in ninth place, finished Race 1 and the Fast Race in a solid fifth place. In the Super Final, a challenging heat, he finished the race in eleventh place, finishing the GP in seventh place overall.
Tom Bessiers, who had qualified with an excellent sixth place, saw his weekend compromised by an unfortunate incident. In Race 1, contact with another driver forced him to retire. Despite the inconvenience, Bessiers did not lose heart and continued to fight, finishing the Fast Race in ninth place and the Super Final in eleventh.
Team Manager Valdimiro Leone commented: “We are very satisfied with our riders’ performances. Steve once again proved himself to be a top rider, and his podium is a fitting reward for the team’s hard work. Romain and Tom also fought with great determination, facing the challenges with professionalism. The entire team worked impeccably, and this result gives us the right motivation for the upcoming events.”
The Supermoto World Championship will return to action for the final round in Mettet in October. The TSV Racing Factory TM Corse Team is already ready to face the next challenge, the final round of the Italian Championship in Ortona, with the aim of further improving their results.
