UN GP DIFFICILE PER MIKULA E MANNINI
FRAUENFELD, 19/21 April 2025 – The Switzerland GP saw both our drivers riding their TM in the race again. The race took place between Saturday and Monday, the Sunday dedicated to Easter did not run.
Saturday, Niccolo Mannini started his GP with one 2nd time of his group of the EMX125, for Julius Mikula on the 17th in the MX2.
In the afternoon he then held the first heat of the EMX125 who saw Niccolo shoot in the head group but at the first corner he fell hooked with other opponents. Started practically last, he started climbing the ranking by quickly gaining positions. On the fourth lap he passed through 14th place but from there at the end of the heat he no longer found a way to survive and remained in that ranking area to go to close in 15th position. In the second heat of Monday his start was not the best but he soon found a way to reassemble. Entering the top ten Niccolo soon had the strength to fight until the last lap, winning the 5th position. At the end of the day, in the absolute of the GP, he conquered 9th place and now in the championship ranking it is in 5th position. Julius in the Saturdayats of Saturday made only one lap, then a technical problem prevented him from continuing.
On Monday in the first heat he always sailed in the center of the group and only a small mistake has taken away the possibility of bringing the top ten closer. In the end for him a 18th place. In the second heat after a similar start he was going up and on the tenth lap, while he was sixteenth, he could not avoid a pilot who fell in front of him and went to the ground by beating a hand. The pain prevented him from continuing and had to withdraw. After this Julius GP occupies the 17th position in the MX2 World Cup ranking.
Next appointment for the team on the weekend of 26/27 April, at Miravalle in Montevarchi (AR) the third appointment of the Italian Pro Prestige will be held.
Niccolo Mannini: “All in all it went fairly. Unfortunately in both days I had little feeling both with the track and with the motorcycle. The only good moment was in qualifying with the second place. In the first heat after the contact contact I reassembled but up to a certain point unfortunately. In the second heat, other bad start and other comeback. This time it went better even if I never managed to express myself as I would have liked to express myself. Staying positive, I thank the team, TM Moto, Alix Power and all those who give me their help as always. ”
Julius Mikula: “The MXGP of Switzerland is over, but unfortunately this time things did not go as I hoped. In the qualification race on Saturday I had a good start but after only three laps I was forced to retire due to a technical problem. This forced me starting from 33rd position at the gate in Monday’s races, making everything much more difficult. In the first heat I didn’t feel best on the bike and I ended in 18th place. The second heats was going much better, I was in 16th position with four drivers at his end when a few laps from the finish line, a pilot in front of me fell. In falling I accidentally put my hand in his rear wheel, which forced me to retire. Now I am completely concentrated on the next MXGP round in águeda, in Portugal “.
