TM MOTO STEELS DR JACK – GP OF ITALIY – WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MX2 RD10 – EMX125 RD7
June 18, 2024
YAGO MARTINEZ: “We are convinced that if we start ahead we can get good results, we will work on these points to finish the rest of the season well! We have pace, but we also have to concentrate on Saturday, which will make life easier for us on Sunday by having better positions at the start. See you at Ponte a Egola, thanks as usual to the team and all our supporters”.
Brando started his Saturday in the best possible way. The heavy terrain was not a problem for him and he achieved the second fastest time in his qualifying group, thus obtaining a good starting position.
On Saturday afternoon, the organisers decided to cancel race one due to the weather conditions and postponed everything to Sunday. The following day it was decided to run only one heat to the great regret of all the drivers and teams.
Brando finished second in the race and in the GP standings and climbed the second step of the podium at Maggiora!
He is now eleventh in the championship and has four more rounds to try and break into the top ten.
BRANDO RISPOLI: “Spectacular weekend at Maggiora, on Saturday I showed that I was one of the fastest, almost taking pole twice in my group. The race went more or less as I wanted it to, the aim was to start first and I did that, while I was building up an advantage in first position a break in a corner caused me to fall, from fourth I managed to recover, get closer to first in the last lap and then finish second. I am very happy, after a period that was more negative than positive, I finally got a great result without ever giving up. I have to thank the whole Tm moto team, Robin Caldelli, Brian Tiso, Giovanni Adamo, Massimiliano Costantini, the Moto Club Torre della Meloria, Ivano Zanatta, Simone Lorenzoni, SnepSpa, Mario Resti, Saba fish and my family, without them this result would not have been possible”.
The next race in which both our riders will participate is this weekend. The fourth round of the Italian Pro Prestige will be held at Ponte a Egola (PI). Yago and Brando will both be competing in the MX2 class.
