TM MOTO STEELS DR JACK – ITALIANO PRO PRESTIGE RD02 – CINGOLI (MC)

RISPOLI WINS! MARTINEZ IS SECOND!

A beautiful weekend that saw our two youngsters on TM’s on the podium in their respective categories. Another memorable page for TM Moto and the Steels Dr Jack team.

The second round of the Italian Pro Prestige was held at the historic Cingoli circuit in the Marches (MC). A two-day event that put men and machines to the test. The changing weather conditions also affected the track, making it difficult for everyone, especially on Sunday, but in the end it was a beautiful two days of real motocross.

Yago Martinez and Brando Rispoli both competed in the MX2 class, with Brando getting the chance to ride the 250 2T and he never looked back.
From Saturday’s qualifying it was clear that things were going in the right direction, with Yago finishing first in his group and Brando second. An excellent starting position for them too.

On Sunday, however, at the start of the first race, both failed to make a good start and found themselves in the middle of the pack. Yago was the author of a fantastic comeback which saw him move up to third position as the laps progressed, finishing just behind the top two. Brando also moved up a few places, already showing a good feeling for the bike, and took the chequered flag in sixth place.

In the second race it was another bad start for Yago, while Brando was immediately behind race leader Lata. While Yago made a comeback, Brando held second position for many laps, but as the minutes ticked by he dropped back and lost ground to finish fourth. Yago was again very fast and even overtook Brando with a few laps to go to finish second.

With these results Yago climbed to the second step of the podium in the Elite MX2 class, while Brando took the win in the Fast MX2 class. A result that ennobles the work of the team in symbiosis with the Pesaro manufacturer.

Now a short break before returning to the World/European Championship with three consecutive rounds in Spain, Portugal and France starting on the weekend of 4-5 May.

YAGO MARTINEZ: “Things seem to be getting better as the days go by. I’m starting to feel strong and fast on the bike and we showed that this weekend. The starts were not in my favour, but I gave 110% on track and we made two good comebacks. What can I say, my mouth was watering, but now we will continue to train for the next races. Thank you!”.

BRANDO RISPOLI: “The race at Cingoli was really good, even though it was my first 250cc race I managed to get into the race on Saturday and touched the pole position. Sunday was complicated, race one with a disastrous start, I was 37th, then I found good lines, I was able to attack even the fifth, but then I ran out of fuel and I had to take off my goggles, I’m still happy with the comeback I made up to sixth position. In race two I started in 5th position, moved up to 2nd and was able to hold this position for most of the race, I finished 4th and I know that the hours I put in on the 250 can’t even be called ‘hours’. I have to thank Tm moto, Robin Caldelli, Brian Tiso, Giovanni Adamo, Massimiliano Costantini, my motorcycle club Torre della Meloria, Ivano Zanatta, Simone Lorenzoni. I hope to race in this championship again soon, it was a lot of fun.
