The second round of the Regional Marche FMI took place at the Cingoli (MC) circuit. Present for the Youth MX Team were Luca Rosati in the Fast MX2 heats and Davide Paglialunga in the 125.

It was a Sunday that served Luca well in view of the Italian Pro Prestige round to be held at Tittoni in a few weeks time. In the morning time trial he finished in an excellent fifth place (the group also included the Elite and Expert riders in the same category).

In the two races Luca never managed to get off to a good start and had to fight his way back from over tenth position. In the first race he managed to get back up to ninth place, while in the final race he finished in tenth place. Considering the list of starters, with many names from outside the region just to test the track, seventh place overall among the Fast MX2 riders is a positive result. Luca climbed the second step of the podium in both the Marche Championship and the overall Fast MX2 championship.

Davide looked very comfortable right from the morning time trial, where he finished eighth. Unfortunately he was involved in a crash in the first corner of the first race, which forced him to make a comeback. On the third lap, in 15th position, he crashed heavily and had to retire. He tried to take part in the second race despite the pain and finished in tenth place, having been close to the top five for several laps, but then the pain took over and forced him to slow down.

After two races Davide is ninth in the overall Junior 125 standings.

Next appointment with the Regional on 28th April at Monterosato di Fermo.

MATTIA SERAFINI (Team Manager): “A definitely positive race for both our boys. Luca was able to test the track in race configuration for the Prestige stage in a fortnight’s time. I’m sure it will be useful for him and he also had the chance to race with a lot of good riders that he will see again in the race. Davide also did well, at least until he crashed in the first race. He was really generous in taking part in race two, showing great tenacity and a desire not to give up.
